Founded in 1991, the St. Peters Choral Society is a non-audition, non-profit mixed chorus comprised of members primarily from St. Charles and St. Louis counties in Missouri.  Our Director, John H. Smith, has been with the choir since its founding, as have many of our members.  With the help of many dedicated choir members and supporters, the choir has continued to grow and develop from about 20 members at its inception to 100-member strong today, with the ability to perform a diverse repertoire, from the works of great classical composers to the music of contemporary songwriters.

We are extremely fortunate to have two exceptionally talented and experienced individuals to direct and accompany the choir.  Please read more below about John and Holly.

Accompanist – Holly Anderson

Holly started playing the piano at 8 years of age. She went on to play the flute in band and orchestra during her school years. She also learned to play the organ as an adult. Her first experience with accompanying was for her Jr. High choir. She also played for her high school choir and Youth choir at church.

Holly has played for many churches, school choirs, soloists and instrumentalists over the past 30+ years, but her favorite activity has always been accompanying choirs. She is a wife and mother of 3 children, and works as a Physical Therapist. Holly has played for the St. Peters Choral Society in the past and considers it a great privilege to again have the opportunity to be a part of this choir.
